OUR TEAM
Led by local voices.
At EMG Inclusive Supports we are a connected family built on trust, empathy and deep community pride. We believe lasting change begins within—our team is made up of people from the very communities we support. They bring local knowledge, cultural respect and work with care, purpose and a strong sense of responsibility.
Together, we help communities grow their capabilities and shape their own futures.

Laura Shone
Program Coordinator
Laura moved from rural Victoria to the Torres strait more than 20 years ago, and has been working with our organisation for over a decade. Her passion has always been caring for people, and her work allows her to help others, build trust, and support communities across the Torres Strait and NPA to grow stronger. Her role allows her to grow her own skills while giving back to the communities she cares deeply about.
Laura hopes to see these communities grow stronger, more connected, and confident in shaping their own futures. She’d love to see more local people stepping into leadership roles, culture celebrated in everyday life, and families supported in ways that build long-term independence and wellbeing.

Mawath Seriat
Team Leader
With 16 years of experience in care and support work, particularly in aged care, Mawath is proud to bring these skills and knowledge to her local community. From beginning with us as a support worker, to her current role leading the local team, she has loved building genuine connections with clients, through a conversation, a helping hand, or simply being present. Knowing that she can make a difference, no matter how small, is what keeps her motivated and fulfilled.
Mawath hopes to see a stronger, healthier, and more connected community where everyone feels supported, respected, and valued. She believes in empowering people through compassionate care and helping to create an environment where cultural identity and well-being are deeply honoured and preserved. By working together, we can build a future where all community members can thrive with dignity and independence.
