Breaches of this code

EMG Inclusive Supports employees are expected to adhere to the Code and to investigate and take appropriate action to address any breaches.

Breaches in the Code of Conduct are managed in a variety of ways, depending upon the severity and nature of the breach. When an alleged criminal act is involved, the matter should be referred to the police.

When managing a breach of the Code of Conduct, EMG Inclusive Supports will ensure that:

  • the situation is assessed swiftly and thoroughly

  • staff involved are supported and treated fairly throughout the process

  • people with disability interests are protected

  • action taken will prevent the problem being repeated in the future

Breaches in the Code of Conduct may result in a plan for managing unsatisfactory performance, disciplinary action including termination of employment.
